Every year, in Mrs. Sammie Watson's 8th World Geography class, students pick a country that they "adopt" for the year. Recently, the students were assigned a project in which they had to bring in food that was to replicate the flag of their country. The students did an excellent job and the flags were delicious!

This past month, for Black History Month, Mrs. Trinidad's Spanish students decorated her classroom door to celebrate this important month and show students examples of some of the people who changed our country (and world) for the better. The door specifically features Cuban singer Celia Cruz, the most popular Latin artist of the 20th century, who was awarded a National Medal of Arts. Submitted by Kalli McMillan
