Rooms®

We are always working to improve and simplify communication between you and the Walton County School District. Keeping up with your child’s coursework and their teachers directly impacts their well being both in the classroom and at home. School communication plays a big part in all of this, so now you will have a full-featured solution that fits in your pocket! This year, we’re adding a District app and a feature called Rooms that enables you to have two-way parent-teacher conversations and keep up with classroom announcements.

Timeline

July

Parents can call their respective schools to make sure that information found in FOCUS is accurate. Parents will need to make sure their phone number and email address are correct so the system can successfully tie them to their student(s)

August 4th

Parents will be able to login to their accounts using either the app or the web version of Rooms. There are no codes to worry about - the system will use your information in FOCUS to ensure that you are tied to the proper students.

August 14th

Guardians who have not logged in and authenticated their accounts will receive an email encouraging them to sign up.

Ongoing

Any new students who register in the district will automatically get an invitation email to log in.

I think Rooms is really going to help with communicating with teachers. It's definitely going to be nice not having to worry about codes anymore, but I'm most excited about teachers being able to load in handouts, homework, and study links.
