No more searching through your student's bookbag for codes - ROOMS works from the data in FOCUS to populate ALL classes for you, so you don't have to worry about missing anything. Auto translate, document upload, push notifications (if you want), behavior notifications - and so much more! It's truly going to open EPIC communication pathways between parents and teachers - all from the palm of your hand.

The District Never Sleeps: WELCOME HOME to nearly 100 powerhouse WCSD teachers who spent the first half of the week in Orlando, FL at AVID! AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) focuses on helping teachers develop the skills to reach students in engaging and effective ways with the goal of preparing them to reach their full potential - or become EPIC!
These teachers put in the WORK through 20 hours of hands-on interactive sessions over two days. Way to go teachers!

West DeFuniak has Summer Bridge students on campus learning and keeping the summer slide away! In other areas of the school, classrooms are being deep cleaned and repainted in preparation for next year's students!!
The EPIC Van is out on it's maiden voyage of the summer today in the Paxton community! If you can't get out to see the van today, mark your calendar for next Monday!
The District Never Sleeps: During the summer, the hallways may appear more empty, but the District is bustling! Today WHS Cheerleaders were hard at work preparing for next year, students at MSE were bridging the gap between 24/25 and 25/26, and there is construction and upgrades all over! Freeport Elementary School Principal Kristin Lewis was recognized today at the Florida Association of School Administrators (FASA) Conference in Orlando, FL! Mrs. Lewis is WCSD's Principal of the Year and a shining star for the rest of the state as a stellar administrator!

A Leader Amongst Leaders: Superintendent A. Russell Hughes attended the 2025 Education Commissioners Summit in Miami this week. Walton County is making waves in an EPIC way and Hughes is able to converse with state and local leadership such as soon-to-be UWF President Manny Diaz, President Ponder of NWFSC, newly appointed Commissioner of Education Anastasios Kamoutsas, and Superintendents Brown(Holmes), Register(Washington), Nolan(Jackson)and Deputy Superintendent Spolski (Okaloosa).
