They say lightning doesn't strike the same place twice, but WCSD Teacher of the Year Bree O'Donnell has been chosen as one of five finalists for the Florida Teacher of the Year! Mrs. O'Donnell was selected from more than 70 candidates state wide.
WOW! Mrs. O'Donnell had a parade of the state's educational rockstars on site to present this honor and help celebrate her! Commissioner of Education, Anastasios Kamoutsas presented the honor alongside Chancellor Paul Burns, and Superintendent A. Russell Hughes. Board members Jason Catalano (chair) and Jeri Michie (vice-chair) were also in attendance to cheer on Mrs. O'Donnell!
Congratulations, Mrs. O'Donnell on this EPIC accomplishment! This honor showcases the world-class teaching taking place in Walton County, as WCSD has had two state finalists in the last three years!
