Congratulations to WHS Senior Cloie Wilgar on being the first recipient of the A. Russell Hughes EPIC Opportunity Scholarship. Due to a partnership with Florida PrePaid, Cloie will enjoy two years of schooling completely free. If you've driven down Walton Rd recently, you've probably seen quite a bit of earth moving between Grace Church and Faithful Friends Animal Clinic. You've been driving past the future home of the new District Office. For decades, the school district has utilized the Historic Tivoli Complex and through that time Walton County has grown by leaps and bounds. Thus, it was finally time to move. It will be an EPIC testament to the success of the students and community! Monday marked the official ground breaking!
SWHS Baseball won tonight! A 3 Run Walk-off home run by Coleman Borthwick sealed the deal to head back to the Final Four state playoff for the 2nd consecutive year. Congratulations Coach Borthwick, the entire staff, and community!

Students from Paxton, Walton Middle, and Seacoast proudly represented the Walton County School District last week at the Drones in School Florida Championship hosted by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with all three teams bringing home honors!
Throughout this rigorous competition, students demonstrated not only impressive technical skills — piloting drones and mastering design and engineering — but also vital executive skills like marketing, project management, and portfolio development.
