Florida is dedicated to being the most military-friendly jurisdiction in the country. The Florida Legislature established the Collegiate Purple Star Campus Designation in June 2023 to acknowledge institutions that exhibit a dedication to assisting military students and their families as they adjust to the college environment.
Emerald Coast Technical College was officially designated a Collegiate Purple Star Campus last week for the services we provide at all sites to all active military and veteran students and their families, as our application met all of the specified requirements. ECTC is the only technical college listed on the FLDOE with this recognition. The FLDOE webpage for Florida Collegiate Purple Star Campuses lists all colleges with this honor.
ECTC will preserve its status as a Collegiate Purple Star Campus for a period of three academic calendar years. Subsequently, we will submit a new application to maintain the Collegiate Purple Star Campus Designation.
