Emerald Coast Technical College -

ECTC set a goal for this year to exceed the number of certifications obtained in the prior academic year by 5%. With this target in mind, our objective for the conclusion of the 2024-2025 academic year was to achieve a total of 235 certifications.

A visual was created that aligned with the district's theme of being EPI-lympi-C as a motivator to keep everyone rowing in the boat for the goal. We began with all five unfilled (white) Olympic rings serving as our progress tracker for this goal. Over the course of the year, as students obtained certifications, we filled in each Olympic ring in increments of 41 as they were earned, as well as spotlighting teachers and programs for being in the top spots. As of April 28, 2025, we have fully finalized all Olympic rings and exceeded the goal we set at the beginning of the year. We have a few months left to obtain more certifications, which means we will be able to establish an even more ambitious goal next year.
