At the 2023-2024 annual EPIC Day, Superintendent A. Russell Hughes unveiled his new initiative. The challenge was Won-One...find that one student and win them to a new path that could change the trajectory of their life. Nicole Pryor at Freeport Middle School is the most recent Won-One Award recipient for becoming a mentor to a student struggling with grades and behavior and turning both around.
