Dr. Edwards received her Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Science from Florida State University, her Master's degree in Educational Leadership form the University of West Florida and later her Doctorate of Education from Liberty University.
Dr. Edwards began her teaching career in 2011 at West DeFuniak Elementary School. In 2015 she transferred to Freeport Elementary School first as teacher before serving as the Title 1 Contact and Math Instructional Coach.
In 2019 Dr. Edwards became a Teacher on Special Assignment at FES and was promoted to Assistant Principal in 2021.
According to Edwards, she is thrilled to step into the role of Principal at Freeport Learning Center! Early childhood education lays the foundation for a child's lifelong success. I am passionate about creating a nurturing and enriching environment where every child can succeed.
When not on campus, Dr. Edwards enjoys time spent on the water, traveling, and bike rides.
