On September 5, Mr. Bernard Johnson, on behalf of the Gulf Power Foundation, presented a $3,000 check to the Walton Education Foundation.  This generous donation will be made to the Electricity Program at Emerald Coast Technical College as a result of a successful grant application made by Mr. Thomas Martin, the program instructor.  The funds will be used to enhance  the Electricity Program at Emerald Coast Technical College.  This program began in August 2015 to meet the training needs of students who wish to enter into the field of electricity.  Students are prepared to earn industry recognized credentials from The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER)  which assure national portability of skills to meet the common goal of developing a safe and productive workforce.

Emerald Coast Technical College is proud of its partnership with Gulf Power Company and the Walton Education Foundation to ensure a strong future workforce.
