Freeport Athletics Recognized for Academics

The Freeport Boys Basketball team was recently awarded first place for having the highest GPA in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) academic team championships in Class 1A. The Freeport Girls team was honored with a 3rd place finish. At this point in the ’11-’12 academic year, Freeport is now in 2nd place overall in all boys and girls sports combined in Class 1A in the State of Florida. Also, Freeport’s head baseball, basketball and football coaches have all been named “Coach of the Year” in the Northwest Florida Daily News’ most recent selections. Congratulations, Bulldogs!
